The East Edisto Lady Wolves concluded an impressive 15–1 season by capturing the 2025 Middle School Volleyball Championship. Facing Dubose Middle—their only loss from the regular season—the Lady Wolves displayed focus and determination in the title match, dropping the first set 20–25 before responding with a dominant 25–14 victory in the second set to secure the championship.

This season centered on continued program growth and development. During tryouts, the coaching staff emphasized selecting student-athletes who demonstrated strong potential, positive attitudes, and a solid work ethic. Throughout the season, accountability and resilience were key themes, helping the players mature both on and off the court.

The Lady Wolves played with confidence and consistency throughout the championship match, showcasing the teamwork and dedication that defined their season.

This group of girls truly bought into the process,” said Coach Kayla McCombs, Head Volleyball Coach at East Edisto Middle School. “They trusted one another, stayed coachable, and worked hard every day to get better. I couldn’t be prouder of how they competed and represented East Edisto.

District Director of Athletics Tyronne Drakeford praised the Lady Wolves’ success, adding, “Coach McCombs and her team exemplify the values of commitment, teamwork, and perseverance that we strive to instill across all our athletic programs.
