Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Bus Riders

• Know your stop and bus route number (DD2 Bus Route Information)
• Respect your bus stop area and display appropriate behavior at all times

Car Riders

• Car rider drop off is in front of East Edisto Middle School – Follow the signs along The Pack Parkway
• Drop off begins at 7:50 am
• Students will exit the Car Rider Loop by walking towards the Gym (far left side of the school)

Student Walkers & Bike Riders

• Enter the East Edisto Campus from the sidewalks on either side of the school
• Enter the building through the Main Gym entrance (far left side of the school)
• Follow the school rules as you travel to and through campus

Building opens at 7:50 am.  Car Riders will exit the Car Rider loop by walking across the front of the school to the Gym entrance (far left side of the school)

From the Gym entrance, Students will report to the following locations:

• Students wanting to eat Breakfast
  • Travel straight to the Cafeteria (back left corner of the school)
  • Sit in the identified section of the cafeteria
  • Students entering the Cafeteria in the morning have to be participating in the Breakfast program and remain there until dismissal to class
• 8th Grade – Designated area in the cafeteria
• 7th Graders – Designated 7th grade area in the Gym
• 6th Graders – Designated 6th grade area in the Gym

Building opens at 7:50 am.  Bus Riders will exit the Bus Rider through the large entrance into the Main Hallway
From the Main Hallway entrance, Students will report to the following locations:

• Students wanting to eat Breakfast
  • Travel straight to the Cafeteria (back left corner of the school)
  • Sit in the identified section of the cafeteria
  • Students entering the Cafeteria in the morning have to be participating in the Breakfast program and remain there until dismissal to class
• 8th Grade – Designated area in the cafeteria
• 7th Graders – Designated 7th grade area in the Gym
• 6th Graders – Designated 6th grade area in the Gym

Bus Riders

• Know your bus route number on the first day of school. Write it down, store it in your phone, ask your teacher or another EEMS adult if you forget
• At 3:00, the bus numbers on campus will be announced and displayed for those students to report to the bus loop (back left corner of the school)
• Don’t try to load bus if ANY buses are moving

Car Riders – Parents need to travel The Pack Parkway to enter the Car Rider loop

• Know the color and type of vehicle picking you up
• At 3:00, car riders will be dismissed to the front sidewalk
• Students can only enter vehicles along the curb

Walkers and Bike Riders

• Use the appropriate sidewalk on either side of the school to exit campus
• Proceed directly to the appropriate route for getting home
